Launch : Find
Stockton,
north of Highway #2 between Wawanesa and Glenboro. Follow signs north
of town to find the Ferry Site.
Landing : Take Highway #5
north
from Glenboro or south from Carberry. There is access to the river near
the bridge, but for an easier landing there is a boat launch area in
the park.
Distance : 35 km
Time : 5 - 8 Hours

The Stockton Ferry still operates in season.
This is a very
pleasant,
easy-going trip. There is some fast water and some beautiful sand hills
scenery. You may land on the north side just before going under the
bridge - it's a small climb to a parking spot, or proceed a few hundred
metres into the park. |
